just for you note

While candy may be the treat of choice this season, I am here to provide you with a more health and work friendly treat – content ideas!

Save yourself some time and impress your audience by filling up your content calendars with these 20 content ideas:

  1. Share your thoughts on where your industry is going in 2016
  2. Create a Pinterest board with gift ideas for people in your industry
  3. Post a “DIY” video on your YouTube channel (you don’t need a camera crew – just your phone!)
  4. Interview your CEO about their insights on the past fiscal year and write a blog post or create an infographic
  5. Write an updated version of your most popular blog post (check Google Analytics to find the most popular post)
  6. Solve problems by scanning through your FAQs and questions on social media channels
  7. Create a video of how your product is made or how your service is delivered
  8. Ask followers to share what your brand means to them and create a graphic with the best answers
  9. Had an event? Recap it using tweets from the event
  10. Summarize a long, dense, industry article or blog post and link to the original
  11. Share interesting myths or misconceptions about your industry
  12. Ask employees to write about why they love working for your company and post the best responses
  13. Create a photo blog that uses images to tell a complete story
  14. Write an A-Z guide on something industry related
  15. Create an infographic that connects your business to Kevin Bacon in six degrees
  16. Compile your best blog posts into one post and share
  17. Design images for your favorite customer comments or Yelp reviews
  18. Create short videos offering tips and tricks from your employees
  19. Take a current industry debate and have different employees write for and against the issue
  20. Re-purpose graphs from a presentation to make an infographic

There you have it. Start at the top and work through this list of 20 content ideas if you’re in a rut. Many of these ideas can work across multiple channels, too, so make your content last longer by using similar ideas on your blog, in videos, on Facebook or in your e-newsletters. Enjoy!
