November is my favorite time of year–fall, football, family, friends, food–and really, a great time of year to reflect on things that I am thankful for. I have written thank you posts in the past, but this year I thought it would be fun to expand the post, so I asked my team to share what they are thankful for this year.

I am grateful for so many things in my life. Family is always at the top of the list. My kids Josie and Ryan make my world better every day. My parents, siblings and their families are healthy and happy. I am blessed with awesome friends, the best coworkers and great neighbors who care about us so much. Every day I am thankful for my job(s) and all of the opportunities I am given. We live comfortably. We are healthy. We have a strong faith. And we are loved. How lucky we are.

This year has been a momentous year for me professionally; I can happily say that I am full-time freelance! I have been introduced to some amazing people that have helped guide me in the right direction to get me where I am today. I am so thankful to have not only found my passion for design early in life, but to be able to make a successful career out of it. I also am thankful to, once again, be living close to my family. Including the addition of my adorable niece, Hazel!

This year, just as every year, I have a lot to be thankful for. I’m thankful for my first home that my husband and I purchased in June! I am also extremely thankful for my job with Allee Creative. The offer to join Melissa’s team came at just the right time and was the perfect fit for what I was hoping to do with my marketing degree. I’m thankful for new the new team members who have joined us at Allee and increased our capacity and efficiency.

I truly believe in the motto that ‘it’s not happy people who are thankful, it’s thankful people who are happy.’ That’s why Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays–because it’s a day to purposely reflect on all the blessings in my life. As I get older and see the people around me age, the one thing I am most thankful for every year is the health of me and my loved ones. When my days get stressful or I let little things bother me, I always try to be grateful that I am healthy and able to do the things I want to do. I am able to work, take a leisurely run around the lake, pick up my nieces, travel around the world and enjoy time with my family. Health is something we can all take for granted because it’s easy to not understand its value until it’s jeopardized. That is why I specifically want to call out I am truly blessed to be a healthy young women this holiday season.
As for me, each year I am thankful for so much–my family, my friends, my health and the ability to do what I love every day with the support of so many great people in my life. I am also thankful for my team (those past and present!) who work hard every day to make our clients feel special. Even when our days may not always go as planned, we are truly blessed.
As we near the end of 2016, I wish you and yours a wonderful time filled with those you care about; take time to be thankful for the good things in your life and tell those around you that you appreciate them. And thank YOU for your support of Allee Creative. We would not be where we are today without the support of readers, clients and colleagues like you!
